The word’s first ‘MegaCar’ is how Koenigsegg describe the One:1, that description is very accurate when you look at the mighty numbers the car produces.

Think one ‘Megawatt’ of power, whilst I am unfamiliar with exactly how much a ‘Megawatt’ is but its clearly a lot of power. Koenigsegg’s attempt to push the performance bar even higher has clearly succeeded.

The performance stats for the One:1 are simply staggering, these numbers are as quoted by Koenigsegg themselves:

Power output: 1 MW at 7500 rpm – rpm limiter @ 8250 rpm
Torque: over 1000 Nm from 3000 to 8000 rpm
Max torque: 1371 Nm at 6000 rpm
0 – 400 km/h approx. 20 sec
400 – 0 km/h approx. 10 sec
Braking distance: 28 m (100-0 km/h)
Max lateral g-force: 2.0 g
Emission levels: Euro VI

The torque, it’s a planet reversing number of 1,340 NM which is a hell of a lot! What’s even more staggering is that 1000 NM of this torques is available from 3,000 rpm upwards to 8,000 rpm.

The One:1 was recently spotted on the Nurburgring testing and it sounds almighty indeed, no attempt at a ring record but you can sense it has to happen at some point in the near future great work again as usual by YouTuber ‘cvdzijden‘.

All hail the era of the ‘MegaCar’.
