For a company that truly strives for utter accuracy in all of its cars, Porsche may have just accidentally released a rendering of the 2017 911 GT3 which may or may not come with a manual gearbox dependant on what the world’s thinks this week or this minute even!
Clearly, a Porsche website employee who we can only theorise the person in question had only just started working for Porsche (and shortly won’t anymore) pressed the wrong button releasing these ‘fill in the colours’ images as part of the Dutch Porsche website and their 3D rendering portal.
As you can see, this is not a current model GT3, the front end is slightly tweaked from the current model so we can only assume it could potentially be a facelift for the not so far future.
I mean it’s clearly a GT3 as the badge says, but it’s all a tiny bit different. If you want to try to view the images, bad luck as the Dutch Porsche website has now been fixed. Thankfully however one keen eyed viewer grabbed the screenshots and winged them to the excellent people at AutoBlog.nl.
Here’s to wondering how much of a screw up this is, you can only assume the person responsible was heard to shout ‘It’s my first day!’.
