Good news! If the Porsche Cayenne and the Range Rover is not enough for you, Lamborghini will produce its long awaited Urus SUV and bring it to market in 2017/2018. The announcement follows years of speculation. Lamborghini’s parent company, Volkswagen Group, will be hoping that the SUV will give it a foothold in the high end SUV market currently ruled by the likes of Porsche & Range Rover.
Lamborghini confirmed at the time of the concept reveal that the Urus could potentially be the fastest SUV ever produced yielding an estimated 600bhp engine and a superlight kerbweight thanks to partial carbon fibre construction.Lamborghini have claimed that the Urus will offer the lowest CO2 figure of all the rival SUVs, because of the hybrid tech contained in it’s stunning looking body. The Urus is set to come with a ton of industry leading tech inside and out including an adjustable spoiler to make aerodynamics more efficient which also assists with the emissions figures.The Urus is Lamborghini’s first SUV since production was ended of the classic LM002 which was well known for having the worst fuel economy of any car ever produced.
